What corn to prepare for making corn grits？
1. Corn type is very import.
Usually we classify corn into hard corn and soft corn. Hard corn contains a lot hard part which gives more corn grits, so hard corn is better raw material.
2. Corn must be clean enough
No stone, no metal, no dust or soil, no insects or worms, no leaves or straw, etc. Dirty impurities would degrade corn grits quality and taste. Hard metal may destroy corn peeler or grinders.
3. Moisture level 16~17% is best for corn into machine, otherwise, it is easy to cause machine stuffed and machines stop to work.
4. Corn ready to be into machine is not allowed to carry visible water on surface. Dampening corn is not good to use too much water.
